The Town of Morningside which was incorporated in 1949 is located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. It’s board of
government includes an elected mayor and four council members. The town operates it’s own fully staffed Police
Department, Department of Public Works and is home to the busiest Volunteer Heavy Rescue Fire Department in the State
of Maryland (14th in the nation).
Morningside has an approximate population of 2000 residents and is a great place to live, learn, and work. Morningside
Elementary School, Benjamin Foulois Creative Arts School, Douglas Patterson Park, and one of the largest V.F.W. Posts in
the nation are located within the town limits. Additionally, main access to Joint Base Andrews which is home to “Air
Force One” is located adjacent to the towns southern border. Every sitting U.S. President and Vice President since Dwight
D Eisenhower, members of Congress, State Department officials, Kings, Queens, Prime Ministers, and other U.S. and foreign
dignitaries have used the main street of Morningside when traveling between Joint Base Andrews and the White House,
Capitol Building or through downtown Washington, D.C.
